Swiscot

Swiscot works closely with a number of charities in the UK & abroad. The largest partnership we operate being with Elephant Family, in their own words, “elephant family is a small but hugely ambitious charity, working to save the Asian elephant from extinction and abuse.

Despite the millions of pounds invested and the efforts of now hundreds of NGOs, the situation for Asian elephants has never been bleaker; economic booms, political apathy, intensive development of wild areas and widespread poverty and desperation are responsible for the loss of thousand hectares of prime forest habitat. Such developments have triggered a sharp decline in Asian elephant populations and a dramatic increase in violent conflicts with local people. In the past 50 years alone, human populations in Asia have increased from 1.5 to 3.8 billion with an equally dramatic decrease in wildlife numbers.

The Asian elephant, a keystone species, is at an all time low. Their future lies in the hands of governments and local people but it is our view that without intensive support from dedicated organisations, neither group will secure a safe future for this endangered animal and the hundreds of other species sharing the same habitat.”. We are also working to find emerging artists in the UK and internationally to support their work through the “Swiscot Collection” which aims to, “create a diverse collection of art from emerging artists around the world.”
